It's so compelling, and so symmetrical and colorful. I know how to take a picture but I don't know how to be brave enough to take one like this. Does anyone ever stop you?

Thank you both!

Kalei - I can take credit for seeing the man praying in the doorway but I certainly can't take credit for the woman rising from her chair just as the minister was raising his arm or for the woman with the mantilla choosing to wear read and to sit in the front row.

Petrea - No one stopped me that night but when they do or when I proactively sense that it's necessary, I ask and show a collection of past Bible and church photos printed at CVS that I've put together to show them what I'm after.

I see how that works. Your photos of these places are gentle and respectful.
