One thinks about Christmas in a different way and is grounded by coming here. We bloggers are so freaking lucky. A roof over our heads, electricity, cameras, computers, an internet connection, time, stability in our lives to keep up the routine. It is good work you do to remind us that too often, this is not so for so many. Please have a Wonderful Holiday K, and keep up the great work that you do, I imagine it can't be easy...

Banjos!!! Were they good? Can't tell if each one is clawhammer or bluegrass.

I'd love to hear you respond to Stickup someday. I figure there's a fairly political urban theme in your portraits--something along the lines of not letting these folks be any more invisible than they already have been. But they are also simply interesting subjects, outside the middle class mainstream, as Stickup points out. To an artist, maybe being interesting is enough?
