In the way of offering an unsolicited plug on behalf of someone I've never met, I'm reading and enjoying "A Listening Thing" by William Michaelian.
"After stopping off for an ultra-cheap battery made by a no-name company that will be out of business before the warranty expires, we headed for the freeway."
To my mind, the narrator, Stephen Monroe, is half Bartelby, half Occupy Wall Street.
(By the way, although I had no idea until googling it, the full title of Melville's short story is "Bartelby The Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street.")

Awesome, in all respects. And perfect for All Saints Day coming up fast...

wow really? I didn't know that.
Great photo, great post, love it when you add text to your shots brother, but love either anyway.
How cool you got hold of William's book! I have heard wonderful things about it and the excerpts he has posted are as brilliant as he is warm. Adjectives which also spring to mind on viewing this image. I have not seen/read either yours or Williams books, but you both fill me with humanity and humility; qualities the world could use a little more of...
