I love Bukowski's poetry, and tend to think of him as a lopsided romantic rather than the bar fly image. (Plus, he loves cats.) You Get So Alone Sometimes That it Just Makes Sense is probably my favorite collection of his, and the one that reveals his tender heart, I think.
This image is stunning. It's almost like you went up all those stairs turning on the lights in the zigzag pattern. And don't get me started on the red light reflected on those palms. THat's Los ANgeles.

I like all the details in the enlargement _ a nice surprise. But then, I prefer larger photo formats.
