The term "folk art" sounds somehow patronizing. Like "women writers." You moved me to take a trip down Fair Oaks to photograph a storefront I've always admired. Cows and fields. Sometime, someone, in the past six months wiped it out entirely. And now the place just looks like another blighted corner of yellowish stucco.

Absolutely love it! Great shot Kevin.
I like these type of murals around L.A. They're almost like folk art.
And watermelon.
Perfect — and, I might add, another important addition to the record.
This is obviously the easy remark, but nevertheless...
HOLY COW !
You get the goods on a regular basis, thanks for heading to the night market...
You find the most amazing combination of things... great photo.
Candles, no less.
There's a mural like this not far from me. I really have to park the car and get out and shoot the damn thing.
Huevos rancheros ... with a spiritual twist. Definitely East LA.
Kaleidoscopic (I'll probably never have a chance to use that word again as long as I live)And what's with the Madonna + cow?
I like the water mellon too. I think there might be a flikr page dedicated to the Lady of Guadalupe.
