Good Luck Lady #3

When the last six copies of "East of West LA" are sold through Small Press Distributors, the Good Luck Lady, one of the true eccentrics of LA, will receive $50. If they sell out in the next seven days, it'll be $75. (Yes, we're pen pals.)

Mannequins On Broadway

A not-so-modest recap of "East of West LA" (the book): "...an earthy, pithy, gritty look at present LA done with the eye of an artist." Phil Jackson, LA Lakers

"His photos are counterintuitive as to what many people think of when they think of Los Angeles." Los Angeles Times

"Stunning and insightful" - Photographers Forum.

Photos also now on display at Ed's Coffee Shop, 460 N Robertson Blvd West Hollywood

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

My friend and neighbor, Sandi McCree has a new webisode. Please do me a favor and take a look.

You might recognize Sandi from her role in “The Wire” (greatest tv show ever.)

Another friend of mine, Mark Zipoli, has his new novel, The Long Habit of Living, out and is available on Amazon.

Last but certainly not least my good friend Michael Lally has a new CD of his poetry, Lost Angels here.* It includes his very well known anti-war (and prophetic) poem, March 18, 2003. Michael is also the author of It's Not Nostalgia, which won an American Book Award.

*And now available at Amazon as well as CD Baby and downloadable at iTunes.

From John Rabe of KPCC:

"Dear listeners,
The LA photographer Kevin McCollister just sent me his slim but elegant collection of photos of LA, titled "East of West LA." The photo above, "LA River," is in the book.

...The book is worth having."
