Stunning, such intense and honest eyes. Your photo is like an oil painting and that's a compliment.
I'll complement what Elisabeth says by seconding her: marvelous.
Truly Elisabeth has said it all.~robert
Kevin a magical shot!
One of your very best. It would leave Rembrandt scratching his head.
This looks like a painting by Vermeer. Uncanny
haunting—as are so many of your portraits
Caravaggio would be pleased.
Worthy of old master.
Rembrandt or Vermeer? I see it, brown and shadow and light. I agree, one of your best. Wow.
Light and dark--fabulous.
maybe its cause I just wizard of oz, but he looks like the cowardly lion, no offence meant. And it is like something by Vermeer
Oh my dear K, this is a keeper. WOW!

Your photos are transcending the medium and becoming digital paintings, really. I think some of my favorite pieces of yours are these shots of the people on the street, the life blood of the real Los Angeles. You capture the city so well in all its dark history and Hispanic glory. Take that from a native...
Go to the Huntington sometime and look at the Rembrandt portraits. You'll know them by the personality that lights their eyes. This is like that.
Oh my goodness. Beauty. I love what you do.
