This image is haunting and full of strange resonances.

The tracks in the sand make this photo's composition even more haunting.

Perfect! I love that it was taken at night.

Look like they are waiting for people, to sit in the chairs, to watch, to save.

Have you really moved your base of operations west of east?

These seem oddly alive like some sort of beach night crawlers

Lucky seven. I thought I'd be the first (brilliant) person to point out Seven and the tire tracks. Whatever. I think it's a great shot, and LD has offered an additional reason for liking it. I agree; it is somehow alive.

Nice, evenly spread light.

What are they doing with those stations all in a row? When I was at the beach a few weeks ago I noticed all the new painting on the Santa Monica lifeguard stands. I'm not sure how I feel about the change. Were these in line to be painted? Decomissioned?

Very strange and wonderful shot, K.

I would have thought they were changing cabins. Having them so close to each other seems to be making little sense. Unless they gathered in the night to swap stories...
