I Told You I was Sick

Yesterday the doctor confirmed what I had suspected:

Bronchitis.

I'll be posting older photos until I'm back on my feet. Meantime, I'm prescribing lots of tamales and Trader Joes pineapple salsa. Try and stay healthy. This is no fun.

Ah. I've had that. You lie low and take care of yourself so it doesn't come back to haunt you like cheap perfume.

Me and my Bronchitis are having a whiskey shot every hour starting now.

I'll be posting vetty old old photos until I'm up off the floor.

It's spreading like an internet virus! Get better, both of you.

Take copious amounts of vitamin C and make sure to breathe a lot of steam. (I have a long-term relationship with bronchitis. Ugh.)

Feel better!

Three down? Oh, no. I see Ms H has the same medicine cabinet as I (and, I suspect, Vanda). This will be a scientific exploration -- who gets better faster, the good boy or the bad girls.

Get better soon.
I am recommending whiskey (or any strong drink of your taste) against sore throat, should you get thus plagued too (from coughing, for instance).

Hope you start feeling better very soon.

May I add my voice to those wishing for a speedy recovery (and my youngest son has been home from 5th grade all week with walking pneumonia). Life! As a charcter in Dylan Thomas' UNDER MILKWOOD says, "Isn't it terrible, thank God!".

Hey Kev, I'll concur with the whiskey suggestions, and offer my own recipe for relief.

A mug of lemonade with a tablespoon of honey, microwaved to just under boiling. Add a slug of bourbon and enjoy.

Honey is great because not only does it coat your throat, but it has natural antihistamine and antibiotic properties.

Get well soon!

That does it, I'm hitting the bourbon asap just to be on the safe side mind you. K, bronchitis will hang around like a bad relative so take your medicine and rest!
