"Pentecostal, Inc."

This looks like a nice review of "East of West LA."

Camera Obscurra will soon post it in English but here's a Google translation of a random paragraph:
"The exploration, fascination with the urban landscape, to the mysteries of the city, are evident. In contemporary photography and cerebral hyper-conceptualized, it is a pleasure to read a book where there is no need for force to reckon with a conceptual framework that is in fact the only value of the photographs, regardless of the formal content. East of West LA is simply the portrait of a city, where the emotional, curiosity and sensitivity of Kevin McCollister is the guideline that unifies places, people and heterogeneous situations."

I suggest your viewers blow up the pic so they can appreciate just how homemade the paint job on the door is.

I'm with you Banjo. The story is in the painting of that door.

Somehow the bad paint job makes me more empathetic towards their Pentecostal thing ie: they may be broke but they're sincere.

I would like to type "oh," with my voice quavering. It's the photo, but it's also the door, the sign, the columns. "oh, oh."

Congratulations on another great review.

The once-grand building. Makes me sad for the building, but also glad that someone is trying their best with it. I wonder what it once was?
