David's Feet (Frostbite)

Originally, I wasn't going to post this photo, which I took two months ago, as it's just too raw. But the other morning I was out taking photos and David recognized me before I recognized him.

And he remembered my name.

A sweet but damaged man who last night probably had another cold night's sleep.

this is a hard hard image Kevin.
it is best we see these types of images tho.
we learn more about compassion with an image like this. how could our hearts not go out.

i am happy you posted it.

this is a photo that should be posted.
that this man,David, who s life can't be easy or comfortable..remembers you...wow! he needs to be shared..too often ,he is probably "not seen" despite the many who walk by.

Strong documentary!
I have many questions.
Not many answers.

I can understand your hesitancy, but in a way, I think this image should be blown up and on billboards across the entire country. The impact is especially strong this time of year. A lesson in gratitude and so much more...

another amazing image Kevin that somehow seems like something never seen before, as all your images seem to do, like the last one too.

An education, for sure. I've heard of frostbite forever, it seems, but have never seen it. Ditto the others about our needing to see it.

We want to be heard and seen, to be known, especially when we suffer. Your photos are a kind of generosity.
