Seriously? or in jest? Whoever wears that headdress will definitely have an air of mystery!.

Maybe the bobbles were intended to be worn over the beard. Agreed, an "air of mystery"

Greetings K! Thank you for stopping by The Villages DP and for your nice comment!

And now I've found your blog which is most interesting...This photo is intriguing. The mask or headdress must have some cultural or religious significance...right?

Can you give me an idea of what your book is about. I lived in LA (west?) - Pico and Fairfax - back in the mid to late 40s...I was just a kid. Graduated from Louis Pasteur Jr. High and went for awhile to Hamilton High and then we moved to Phoenix.

My father was pastor of a large church downtown at the time...Olvera Street is familiar to me, but I can't remember very much.

Best wishes to you and I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Wow, looks like he's had a potted plant transplanted right into his head... nothing wrong I suppose with a brain that sprouts african violets or other such glories...

Looks uncomfortable. Guess sometimes you have to suffer for fashion/art.

It took me a minute to decipher this one.
Oh, okay. A headdress. He'll do well in the fashion world.
