Oh wait a minute, I know. This is from the East LA area, maybe Boyle Heights, maybe on Broadway, west of Pasadena Ave. Fascinating old stores and houses from around ... 1920, or so? Predominantly Jewish and Eastern European at that time.
Fantastic. Interestingly enough, BH was once home to the largest concentration of Jews west of the Mississippi River back in the day, with some 50,000+ Jews and 100 houses of worship. How times have changed..

This Synagogue is so unassuming I almost think it's hiding on a back street in the middle east somewhere.

It's also worth noting that BH was the fist LA home of the popular Canter's Deli.
