I've come back to this photo several times over the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure what to make of it - I generally don't like cheap shots, but is it a cheap shot? I don't know of course. That's what is so compulsive and a the same time infuriating about photography. It resonates with me though. Several things - the almost balletic, breakdance pose, whatever the situation, and the character/getup of the model. The perfect tones, light/dark, to delineate the subject. The feeling of movement, but in what direction? Ambiguity, always one of the things that fascinate me
